What You'll Do

  • Mix and shape artisan sourdough bread using traditional 48-hour fermentation process

  • Bake small-batch loaves where every loaf matters and quality counts

  • Learn bread shaping techniques and dough handling skills

  • Prepare other baked goods and assist with general bakery prep work

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas following food safety guidelines

  • Work with commercial mixers, ovens, and professional bakery equipment

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods

Experience Welcome:

  • All experience levels considered - from complete beginners to experienced bakers

  • Bread or pastry experience is a plus but not required

  • Previous commercial kitchen experience valued but not necessary

  • Food safety certification helpful or willingness to obtain

Compensation & Benefits:

ENTRY LEVEL POSITION: $12.00/hour + approx $3/hour pooled tips ≈ $15.00/hour after training period
PAY RANGE: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience - experienced bakers start higher!

  • Regular raises with experience and competency development

  • Pay increases as you master bread-making skills

FULL TIME BENEFITS:

  • 10 vacation days & 3 sick days (after 3 months employment)

  • Monthly healthcare or retirement stipend for full-timers

  • Bakery stipend on products

  • Free bread, pastries & snacks from daily production
