Bread & Butter is an artisan bakery in Chattanooga specializing in sourdough breads, croissants, and scratch-made pastries. We've been here since 2016, and we take the craft seriously — but we also know that great bakers are made, not just found.

We're looking for someone who's eager to learn, takes pride in their work, and wants to build real skills in a professional scratch kitchen. No culinary degree required. No prior commercial experience required. Just genuine curiosity, a good attitude, and a willingness to show up and grow.

What you'll do:

  • Bake and prep pastries, cookies, brownies, and seasonal treats following our recipes and quality standards

  • Learn traditional techniques including viennoiserie — croissants, danishes, laminated doughs

  • Follow daily production schedules and prep lists

  • Keep your workspace clean and organized following food safety guidelines

  • Collaborate with the team on new and seasonal offerings

What we're looking for:

  • Attention to detail and a genuine desire to learn

  • Reliable — we are a small team and must be able to count on one another

  • Weekend availability, Saturday preferred

  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude

  • Any baking, food service, or kitchen experience is a plus — home bakers welcome

  • ServSafe certification and driver's license are a bonus

What we offer:

  • $12/hr base + $3+/hr in pooled tips (~$15+/hr after training, more with experience)
