Bread & Butter is an artisan bakery in Chattanooga specializing in sourdough breads, croissants, and scratch-made pastries. We've been rooted in this community since 2016, and our front of house team is the heart of the customer experience.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves people, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a team that cares — about the food, about the craft, and about each other.

What you'll do:

  • Welcome and serve customers in a warm, high-energy retail environment

  • Share your knowledge of our products and make thoughtful recommendations

  • Handle point-of-sale transactions (we use Square), cash, and card payments

  • Prepare coffee and simple food items

  • Keep the front clean, stocked, and inviting

  • Support wholesale order prep and inventory management

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in customer service, retail, food service, or hospitality

  • Comfortable on your feet for extended periods

  • Reliable, especially for weekend shifts

  • Enthusiasm for quality food — bakery or coffee experience is a plus, but not required

  • Someone who takes pride in the details and genuinely enjoys connecting with people

What we offer:

  • $12/hr base + $3+/hr in pooled tips (~$15+/hr after training, more with experience)
